Three classics are the bridge between the ultra-modern buses of today and the unique history of Mercedes-Benz, the inventor of the bus, truck and car. As is fitting for the anniversary of the car, the Mercedes-Benz O 319 D which on exhibit is celebrating its own birthday: it was built exactly 50 years ago. The O 319 D is the predecessor of all modern midibuses and was manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 1955 to 1968. The O 319 D combines compact dimensions – a length of 4.92 m and width of 2.08 m – with a high degree of comfort. Typical features of the model are the two-tone paint finish, the fabric sliding roof, the glass-bordered roof, a cream-coloured steering wheel and the red passenger seats.
