On 8 September the 25,000th Citaro was officially handed over to the customer infra fürth verkehr gmbH. Citaro thus became the most successful urban bus of all time, and an end to its career is nowhere in sight. "Its low life cycle costs, its reliability and our continuous further development are what keep the best-selling Citaro on its successful path“, said Michael Göpfarth, manager of Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach unit at EvoBus GmbH, on the occasion of the handover of the milestone vehicle to Klaus Dieregsweiler, operations manager for infra fürth verkehr gmbh. "The modular system allows us the development of constantly reinventing the Citaro without ever having to change the actual concept. And that is the secret of the Citaro’s success“, added Göpfarth.
As a leader in technology and innovation Daimler Buses has always set the standard in safety, economy, reliability, comfort and design and offers its customers first-rate, individual products. "For this reason it is a matter of course for us to also be in first place when it comes service and parts replacement, and to offer a high-quality service concept which is focused purely on buses so that we can continue to be a reliable partner even after the sale is completed", explained Holger Suffel, Head of Sales at EvoBus GmbH.
