Stuttgart/Dubai – Mercedes-Benz has received the "Best Bus" award for the fourth year in succession. The award has been presented since 2007 by the Munich-based magazine "Busfahrer" ("Bus Driver"). More than 1000 drivers took part in the readers’ poll. The criteria stipulated by the editors were appearance, design, attractiveness, innovation, safety features, quality of finish, cockpit, handling, driving characteristics, passenger comfort, and driver visibility (from inside/outside perspectives). A total of 21 European manufacturers (12 coaches and 9 regular-service buses) were represented in the poll. The Mercedes-Benz Citaro EEV was number one in the city bus category. It received top marks for appearance, innovation, cockpit, driving characteristics and safety. The Mercedes-Benz high-capacity CapaCity regular-service bus was awarded third place.

The "Best Bus" award is presented by Anne-Katrin Wieser, editor-in-chief of "Busfahrer" ("Bus Driver") magazine, to Michael Göpfarth, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Omnibusse der EvoBus GmbH, at the UITP Congress (International Association of Public Transport – World Congress of Public Transport Authorities) in Dubai.
