Tips for proper stowage

Intelligently designed interiors with optimally arranged stowage compartments and integral stowage areas make for an effective combination of functionality and comfort in Mercedes-Benz camper vans. All items of luggage and other articles should be safely stowed away, of course. There are a few basic principles to observe:

  • Stow light items in the upper stowage compartments.
  • Place suitcases and drink crates in the luggage compartment
  • Stow sports equipment in the luggage compartment or on the carrier system
  • Place bed linen underneath the bench or on the roof bed
  • Stow heavy items in the lower stowage spaces

Your personal loading check

To avoid overloading the vehicle or one of its axles, make a precise load analysis before departure, especially if you have heavy luggage to stow away. Remember that it’s not just a question of weight, but that the distribution of the luggage in the vehicle and the resultant forces and leverages also have an influence on the handling characteristics.
