One property of air is that it combines with water – and warm air absorbs more moisture than colder air. While you sleep, cook or shower, the air becomes enriched with moisture. This additional moisture has to be carried off through regular ventilation. With lots of fresh air and sensible use of the heating you ensure a pleasant, healthy interior climate in your vehicle.
Always ensure that the air vents are not covered. When heating, it is recommended that you ventilate the van intensely by creating a cross-draught for around 10 minutes. This ensures that the moist interior air is replaced by fresh, dry air. Repeat this several times a day, particularly when plenty of steam is created (e.g. when cooking).
The duration of heating periods depends above all on where you are and the season.
The optional fuel-powered auxiliary heater keeps you snug and warm in your Viano MARCO POLO. It can be activated via remote control. You regulate the temperature at the central control panel in the cockpit or via remote control.
Try to minimise energy loss when heating. Keeping the windows open will naturally cause greater heat loss than fully exchanging the air at regular intervals. Always turn the heating down when ventilating. Further information on heating can be found in your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual.
