One property of air is that it combines with water – and warm air absorbs more moisture than colder air. While you sleep, cook or shower, the air becomes enriched with moisture. This additional moisture has to be carried off through regular ventilation. With lots of fresh air and sensible use of the heating you ensure a pleasant, healthy interior climate in your vehicle.
Always make sure that you do not cover the air vents. During heating, it is advisable to ventilate the van briefly and intensely (so-called "shock ventilation"), creating a cross-draught. About 10 minutes is enough. This way the moist interior air is replaced by fresh, dry air. Repeat this several times a day and above all when lots of steam is created (e.g. when cooking or showering).
The duration of heating periods depends above all on where you are and the time of year
The optional fuel-powered auxiliary heater keeps you snug and warm in your Viano MARCO POLO. You set the temperature at the central control panel in the cockpit or via remote control.
Try to minimise energy loss when heating. Keeping the windows open will naturally cause greater heat loss than fully exchanging the air at regular intervals. Always turn the heating down when ventilating. Further information on heating can be found in your vehicle's Owner's Manual.
