Intelligent safety systems ensure that you and your passengers feel well protected, even in challenging situations.
Wet leaves on the road, road surface freezing over, abrupt braking on an unstable surface – there are many ways for a vehicle to lose its grip. In hazardous situations the latest generation of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) helps keep you in charge.
Fractions of a second – and every move you make – can make a crucial difference in critical driving situations.
The ABS anti-lock braking system prevents the wheels from locking up. In this way, it helps the driver to continue to steer the vehicle even when the brakes are applied with full force.
From the speed at which the brake pedal is depressed, BAS is able to detect a situation where emergency braking is required. In such a situation the system automatically increases braking power, aided by the ABS anti-lock braking system, which prevents the wheels from locking up.
The wheels get a good grip: ASR effectively prevents wheel spin on slippery surfaces.
Active safety when towing a trailer. If the trailer begins to fishtail the system brakes the wheels of the towing vehicle in a targeted manner and also reduces the engine torque.

Braking with a signal effect: in the event of emergency braking from a speed of 50 km/h and upwards, all brake lamps start flashing to warn following traffic. If the vehicle is braked from a speed of 70 km/h and upwards to a complete standstill, the hazard warning lamps switch on automatically.

Everything under control. The system detects pressure loss in individual wheels and displays in the instrument cluster a timely warning for the driver.
