Mercedes-Benz Genuine Remanufactured Parts offer an economical, environmentally compatible alternative. Since remanufactured parts are not produced from scratch, less energy is required. Recycling used parts also saves on valuable raw materials and reduces emissions.
The following figures underline the benefit to the environment: when remanufacturing a Mercedes-Benz V8 car engine, 67% of parts can be recycled, 32% goes into the remanufacturing process and just 1% remains unused.
The Mercedes-Benz Genuine Remanufactured Parts program saves about 13,500 tonnes of raw materials every year. In addition, approx. 54,000 MWh of energy are saved – enough to supply around 17,000 households with energy for a whole year.
