"Green" prize for outstanding design
The Concept BlueZERO received the "Green Good Design Award 2010" for outstanding design in sustainable mobility from The Chicago Athenaeum (Museum of Architecture and Design) as part of the renowned "GOOD DESIGN™ Award".
The "Automotive Brand Contest 2011" is an international brand and design contest for the automotive industry. The Mercedes-Benz Design Team were delighted to receive the "Team of the Year" award.
The Mercedes-Benz CLS received the "Best of Best" Award in the "Series-Production Vehicle" category of the "Automotive Brand Contest 2011". The panel of judges particularly commended the structural "dropping line" that slopes away above the front wheel arches.
The BIOME Concept received a "Special Mention" at the "Automotive Brand Contest 2011". The judges were particularly impressed by the BIOME animation produced by the Mercedes-Benz Design Centre California.
The "iF product design award" has recognised innovative product design for more than 50 years. The smart escooter was the recipient of one of the coveted awards in the category "Advances Studies" in 2011.
The Champions League of Design – that’s how the organisers of "Designpreis Deutschland" ("German Design Award") refer to their prestigious annual design awards. And the new SLK is right up there in the rankings, receiving a Silver Award as part of the 2012 competition.
The new SLK was also recognised at the "red dot design award 2011", receiving a "red dot" for outstanding design. The SLK predecessor model was also the recipient of the coveted design prize in 2004.
The smart e-mobility concept received a Gold Award as part of the "Focus Open – International Design Awards Baden-Wuerttemberg 2011". The smart ebike, smart escooter and smart forspeed studies were also recipients of Silver Awards.
Both the new E-Class Cabriolet and the F800 Style received the 2010 GOOD DESIGN™ Award, established 60 years ago by Eero Saarinen und Charles Eames, from The Chicago Athenaeum, the renowned design and architecture museum.
Never goes with the flow – defines it: The new E-Class Cabriolet was the only cabriolet to win the coveted red dot design award in 2010. The award has been given out since 1955 under the patronage of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen in Essen, Germany.
The red dot award is one of the most famous design awards in the world. In 2010 the international jury of experts presented the SLS AMG with its highest honour, the "best of the best".
Outstanding in design contests as well: the SLS AMG received the "iF product design award 2010" in the Transportation Design" segment. The iF product design award was established in 1953 and is one of the most prestigious honours in the design world.
Victory after victory: a total of 7 Mercedes-Benz vehicles ranked among the top three in the reader's choice of the Auto Bild Design Award 2010, including the E-Class Estate model, the E-Class Cabriolet and the F800 Style. The SLS AMG triumphed as the overall winner in both Germany and Europe.
Triumph for the best of the best: the legendary 300 SLR "Uhlenhaut" received the "Best of Show" award at the Retro Classics 2010, and the SLS AMG was named a "Neoclassic".
