Consistently investing in the future: Diesel and petrol engines

Boasting the advanced 4-cylinder CDI engine OM 651 (available in three output categories) and the superior V6 CDI diesel engine OM 642, the Sprinter sets new standards of economic efficiency and sustainability. All four CDI diesel engines comply with the Euro V emissions standard (for commercial vehicle registration) and feature significantly reduced fuel consumption and exhaust emissions compared with previous engine generations.

The CDI diesel engines are also available with optional compliance with the strictest European EEV (Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle) emissions standards. These vehicles produce very low emissions (e.g. fine particulates).

The economical 4-cylinder petrol engine with 115 kW is particularly cost-efficient provided its annual operational coverage is not excessive. There is also a dynamic V6 petrol engine that delivers smooth performance and a 190 kW power output.

A clear advantage: natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas drive systems

The Sprinter is also available with NGT (natural gas technology) and LGT (liquefied gas LGT technology) drive systems[1]. These drive systems use BlueEFFICIENCY technologies boasting significantly reduced pollutant emissions.
