The optional bi-xenon headlamps provide even illumination of the road surface thanks to their automatic headlamp range adjustment - and they do this without dazzling oncoming traffic.

Particularly when it comes to tight bends, junctions and when manoeuvring, conventional headlamps, because of their design, cannot provide optimum illumination of the areas to the side and immediately ahead of the vehicle. In these situations, the illumination provided by the low-beam headlamps is complemented by an additional light source: the static active light function operates when cornering at speeds up to 70 km/h while the cornering light function is activated when the direction indicator is operated at speeds up to 40 km/h – depending on the steering angle in both cases.

You will be delighted with the optionally available Headlamp Assist with light and rain sensor: when darkness begins to fall or when driving through a tunnel the vehicle lighting switches on automatically.

The sensor also detects rainfall on the windscreen, activates the wipers, and even adjusts the wiping speed to the intensity of the rain.

The exterior mirror of the Sprinter is supplemented with a standard-fit wide-angle mirror. This helps you to keep a watchful eye on cyclists and pedestrians when turning into a side road, for example.

The turn indicators, also integrated in the exterior mirror housings, additionally enhance safety when cornering.

Now the wide-angle mirror on the (optional) heated exterior mirror is heated, too – an important improvement, as it can prevent the mirror from misting up or freezing over.

With the optionally available reversing camera, reversing becomes simpler and safer:

When reverse gear is engaged, the reversing camera with a 17.8-cm monitor shows the area behind the vehicle. Audible signals, such as the voice of someone providing instructions, are also transmitted. The image and sound can also be output via the optional extra COMAND APS.
