With the advanced OM 651 4-cylinder diesel engine available in three output bands and the effortlessly superior OM 642 V6 diesel engine, the Sprinter sets new standards in terms of economic efficiency and sustainability. With the Euro VI-compliant OM 651 engine and the BlueEFFICIENCY plus package you can achieve consumption levels as low as 6.3 litres[1] per 100 km.

The BlueTEC engines available for the Sprinter represent a solution that is convincing both from the economic and from the ecological point of view: Thanks to SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) diesel technology the Sprinter complies with the Euro-6 / the Euro-VI standard. This procedure makes it possible to reduce NOx emissions [2]. The exhaust gas flows through a catalytic converter, where nitrogen oxides ® are converted to nitrogen and water with the help of the water-based additive AdBlue.
