Engines for the future with low consumption. 

The engines are based on the most recent technologies and equally contribute to the vehicle's overall cost-efficiency as do its reliable quality and stable resale value: thanks to the advanced 4-cylinder OM651 diesel engine in three output bands and the superior OM642 V6 diesel engine the Sprinter sets benchmarks in terms of economic efficiency and sustainability. With the OM651 featuring Euro VI emission standard components and the BlueEFFICIENCY package Plus you can achieve consumption figures as low as 6.3 litres [1] per 100 km.

The BlueTEC engines available for the Sprinter are convincing solutions, in both economic and ecological terms: thanks to SCR diesel technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction) the Sprinter meets Euro 6/Euro VI emission standards. This method reduces NOx emissions [2]. The exhaust gas passes through a catalytic converter and nitrogen oxide is converted to nitrogen and water using the water-based AdBlue® additive.
