The theme displays allow preset moods to be conjured up for your vehicle at the push of a button. The illustrations on the instrument display and media display adapt accordingly, as do the lighting mood and the driving mode. And best of all: the driver can configure their own individual theme displays.

MBUX makes your vehicle a strong partner. The system keeps learning and above all gets to know the driver a little better every day. It can remember your favourite songs, the route to work and frequently called telephone numbers. If you so wish, it can also tune in automatically to the right radio station, or show you a faster way if your usual route is congested. All by itself and as a matter of course, if you so wish.

You can customise the design and the entire look and feel of the Widescreen Cockpit. There is a choice of four display styles: "Classic", "Sport", "Progressive" and "Subtle". The chosen style influences the interior atmosphere perceptibly, especially in conjunction with the optionally available ambient lighting.

With the optional LINGUATRONIC voice control system, your vehicle is all ears for your wishes and commands. It actually understands you without having to learn commands beforehand. And it talks to you. Reading out text messages, or dictating and sending them? No problem. It checks the weather at the destination for you (only in conjunction with Mercedes me services), changes the radio station or takes you home via the fastest route. It takes only two words – "Hey Mercedes" – and your vehicle is all ears.

Enjoy contactless operating comfort: this innovative system detects and interprets your hand and arm movements. This means you can activate selected functions in a matter of seconds. The system is able to differentiate between driver and front passenger – so that you reach precisely the menus you wish to use.

MBUX offers users maximum freedom for controlling all functions in the way most comfortable and convenient to them. Your vehicle comes with the option of a touch display. There is also a touchpad integrated in the centre console, which responds to single- and multi-finger gestures as well as handwriting. Furthermore, the displays can be controlled using Touch Control buttons on the steering wheel.

Listen to the music you want at any time: the fully integrated MBUX Entertainment system connects your vehicle directly to streaming services. It is as easy to change track or playlist as it is to change the radio station – using control elements on the central display, steering wheel or hands-free via voice control.

The MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System transforms the rear passenger compartment into an attractive world of entertainment and a pleasant working environment. Here you can design your travel programme as you wish – to pass away the time or attend to important work. The system's high-resolution touchscreens provide direct access to the internet and the multimedia system.

To enable you to find your way in complex traffic situations, MBUX Augmented Reality Navigation connects the virtual world with the real world. The technology incorporates graphical navigation instructions and traffic information into live images. So you reach your destination quickly, safely and stress-free.

Driving time becomes charging time – just drop your smartphone into its allotted place in the oddments tray for wireless charging. Irrespective of the model and brand, compatible smartphones are charged wirelessly.

Smartphone Integration links the mobile phone with the media system via Apple® CarPlay® or Android Auto®. This gives you convenient access to the most important apps on your smartphone. It also provides a quick and easy way to use apps from third-party providers such as Spotify.

The outlook for sporty driving pleasure and an effortlessly superior driving feel is good: the head-up display transforms your windscreen into an exciting digital cockpit. This means you always have a direct view of key information. Your full attention remains on the road and the traffic conditions in front of you.
