    The transaxle design of the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster enables optimum traction, especially when adopting a sporty driving style.

    The transaxle design of the drive system allows a traction-boosting weight distribution of 47% to the front and 53% to the rear. For drivers who favour sportier driving, the AMG locking differential boosts traction to prevent the inside drive wheel from slipping.

The AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with three levels of adjustment and aerodynamics optimised for downforce provide for stable and smooth handling of the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster right up to the critical limits. The aluminium construction makes for an extremely stiff body for the best possible lateral and longitudinal dynamics and maximum steering precision.

It combines aerodynamic stability with low wind resistance and incorporates sufficient cooling and a supply of air for all components. The AIRPANEL in the front apron and the electrically extending rear aerofoil actively adjust the aerodynamics to the current driving situation.

The discs made of carbon-fibre-reinforced ceramic are exceptionally hard and at the same time 40% lighter than conventional compound brake discs. The advantages of this are an increased service life, shorter braking distances, an accurate pressure point and maximum fade resistance.
