Charging at home.

Simply bring your charging station to your home: with the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, your EQB is charged at up to 11 kW (3-phase) thanks to the powerful AC charging system - and thus many times faster and safer than at a conventional household socket. The Mercedes-Benz Wallbox also has a maximum charging power of up to 22kW, preparing your home for charging future models as well.

Charging on the move.

Whether a long or short distance: with the digital service Mercedes me Charge* you have access to a large number of public charging stations from different providers all across Europe.**
Maximum charging capacity at DC charging station with 400 volt supply, 300 A current; the maximum charging capacity depends on various factors, such as ambient and battery temperature and the state of charge of the battery when charging is started.
Especially at the IONITY fast charging stations, your EQB is charged from 10 to 80 percent in 32 minutes
Minimum charging time from 10 to 80% under optimal conditions at DC charging station with 400 volt supply, 300 A current; the charging time may vary depending on various factors, such as ambient and battery temperature and when using additional auxiliary consumers, e.g. heating.
with up to 100 kW. In addition, Mercedes-Benz uses high-quality certificates of origin to ensure that an equivalent amount of electricity from renewable energy sources is subsequently fed into the power grid for the charging processes via Mercedes me Charge.

*A personal Mercedes me ID and agreement to the terms of use for the Mercedes me connect services are required to use the services. In addition, the respective vehicle must be paired with the user account. Upon expiry of the initial term, the services can be renewed for a fee, provided they are at that point still offered for the corresponding vehicle. Initial activation of the services is possible within 1 year of first registration or initial operation by the customer, whichever occurs first.

** In order to be able to use the Mercedes me connect service "Mercedes me Charge", a separate charging contract with a selected third-party provider is required, via which payment and invoicing of the charging processes takes place. EQ&A

Your most important questions about electric mobility.

    • Real electric range

Why is the real electric range often less than specified?

The electric range depends on the individual driving behaviour, the route profile and the environmental conditions. You can travel further on electric power if you use ECO Assist to drive with foresight and take advantage of the recuperation and/or gliding function. The use of seat heating or air conditioning also have an influence on the range.

    • AC and DC charging technology

What is the difference between the two charging technologies?

The batteries of electrified vehicles can basically only be charged with direct current (DC). However, all household power sockets, the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox charger and most public charging stations supply alternating current (AC), as do "high-voltage sockets". An on-board charger is installed in the vehicle - an AC/DC converter - which makes charging possible: it converts the alternating current into the required direct current. Depending on the AC source, charging powers of 2.3 kW to 11 kW are possible.

    • Environmental friendliness

Are electric cars really environmentally friendly?

The environmental friendliness of the vehicle depends strongly on your driving and charging behaviour, e.g. which electricity you charge with: Is it really "green" electricity that is used to charge your vehicle or a mixture of different energy sources? When you charge in Europe via Mercedes me Charge, Mercedes-Benz uses guarantees of origin to ensure that an equivalent amount of electricity from renewable energy sources is subsequently fed into the electricity grid for the charging processes. In this way, you are already reducing your personal CO2 balance today and making a contribution to the energy transition.
Even in private households, a green electricity contract is often just a few clicks away.
