    Exterior The exterior of the all-new Electric VLE A desirable statement: innovative aesthetics with outstanding aerodynamics. At first glance, it is clear to see that the VLE is ushering in a new era. The new van architecture enables a completely new design that timelessly combines form and function. The result is outstanding aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.25.

       Impressive front design The front is characterised by the reinterpreted, brand-defining grille. Depending on the equipment line, it features an illuminated frame, a light strip connecting the headlamps and – in conjunction with the optional DIGITAL LIGHT – daytime running lamps in the Mercedes-Benz star design. Depending on the line, the Mercedes star is either positioned upright on the bonnet or integrated as a central star in the radiator grille.
      Side design with aerodynamic profile From the side view, you can see that the VLE has been aerodynamically optimised in every detail – for example in the flush-fitting door handles and the roof line that slopes down towards the rear. The overhangs at the front and rear are well proportioned in relation to the wheelbase, with a small overhang at the front. Electrically operated sliding doors on the left and right come as standard. By the way: in the VLE, you can fully roll down the windows in the sliding doors electrically.
      Expressive rear design The highlight at the rear is the curved tail lights in Arc design, integrated into the aerodynamic spoiler lip. This light strip frames the entire rear in an arc. It integrates all lighting functions and creates a distinctive light signature that immediately catches the eye. The rear bumpers are black textured as standard. The separately opening rear window is available as part of the optional EASY-PACK tailgate.
      Up to 55.9 cm (22") AMG light-alloy wheels The VLE is already fitted with 48.3 cm (19") light-alloy wheels as standard. Optional 50.8 cm (20"), 53.3 cm (21") and even 55.9 cm (22") light-alloy wheels are available – the largest in the dynamic Mercedes-AMG design. The wide tyres underline the sporty character of the light-alloy wheels. Following the market launch, the range will be constantly expanded.
      Large selection of paint finishes. A wide range of paint finishes with non-metallic, metallic and MANUFAKTUR paintwork gives you an extensive selection of colours for your VLE. 1 non-metallic paint finish, 3 metallic paint finishes and 2 MANUFAKTUR paint finishes are now available for the VLE compared to the EQV.

      The paintwork of the VLE is finished with a highly scratch-resistant clear coat system. As a result, you benefit from significantly improved scratch resistance and a long-lasting shine.
      EXCLUSIVE EXCLUSIVE (Z8X) with iconic Mercedes-Benz grille with dots, silver-coloured matt panel and illuminated surround and 50.8 cm (20") light-alloy wheels, among other features.
      AMG Line AMG Line (PS2) with, among other things, iconic Mercedes-Benz grille with dots and black panel as well as central Mercedes star and illuminated surround, 50.8 cm (20") AMG light-alloy wheels.
      Night Package Night Package (P55) based on the AMG Line, including black exterior accents and 50.8 cm (20") AMG light-alloy wheels painted high-gloss black.
      AMG Line Plus AMG Line Plus (P56) based on the AMG Line, including with Night Package and 53.3 cm (21") AMG light-alloy wheels in 5-twin-spoke design painted high-gloss black.
      Interior Interior of the all-new Electric VLE The interior of the VLE fulfils its premium claim in every respect: in terms of modern design, high-quality materials and meticulous workmanship. The two seat designs, Classic and Excellence, make it easier to choose a seat with their respective available colours and materials. The operating and display concept and the selection of displays are state of the art and are based on the electric CLA of the 174 model series – including MBUX Superscreen, MBUX Surround Navigation and MBUX Virtual Assistant.

         Digitalised operating and display concept The operating and display concept of the VLE makes interaction via voice control and touch displays as easy as possible. Thanks to MBUX zero layer, the most important information, suggestions and the most recently used apps are shown on the central display. In the app grid, you can move apps and group them into individually named folders – just like on your smartphone.

        Thanks to the self-learning algorithms, you receive suggestions for navigation, music selection or operation tailored to your usage behaviour. In addition to personalisation, the ability to experience the functions through the MBUX Virtual Assistant, for example, is another strength of the digitalised operating and display concept.
        MBUX Virtual Assistant MBUX Virtual Assistant
        The MBUX Virtual Assistant with selectable avatars extends the already familiar voice assistant and is your emotional and proactive co-pilot. It enables complex, multi-part conversations. Thanks to its multi-agent approach, the virtual assistant combines the knowledge gathered from the Internet and can answer questions such as "Hey Mercedes, what is a black hole? Explain it in a way that children can understand." The MBUX Virtual Assistant can access information from the Google Maps platform. It can therefore give detailed and personalised answers, for example to the question "Hey Mercedes, I have an appointment today. Do you have any ideas of special things to do in the neighbourhood? This makes operating your vehicle even easier and your driving experience even more entertaining.
        MBUX Surround Navigation MBUX Surround Navigation provides you with a large map with navigation instructions on the driver display. If you switch to the 3D Ego Car view, surround navigation shows you realistic images of the vehicle's surroundings, including road users.
        Selfie and video camera You can use the selfie and video camera to call up your personal user profile in the vehicle – for example, to activate the seat settings of the memory function. You can also take part in video conferences with your own picture and capture unforgettable moments on your road trips with the video camera.
        Extensive range of displays In addition to the standard driver and central display with the MBUX Superscreen, you also have the option of a front passenger display. This extends the typical Mercedes-Benz user experience to the front passenger and opens up almost limitless information and entertainment options during the journey.
        Front seats The Classic and Excellence seat designs offer a choice of specific colours and materials as well as a functional differentiation of the seats. Even in the standard version, the driver and front passenger are seated in comfort seats. The electrically adjustable seats of the Excellence seat design with an exclusive selection of colours and materials realise a very high level of comfort, especially with the additional options of seat ventilation and massage function.
        Centre console The VLE is equipped with stowage compartments and cup holders in the cockpit as well as a wireless charging option for 1 mobile device as standard. Charging facilities for 2 mobile devices are optionally available or as part of the two optional centre consoles.
        Interior lighting The interior lighting – especially with the two versions of the optional ambient lighting – creates a modern and elegant ambience in your VLE. In addition to providing orientation in the dark, the lighting in the interior serves as a design element, as a medium for vehicle information and as a source of light and colour for the feel-good ambience.
        Colours and materials The different colours and materials are assigned to the two seat designs Classic and Excellence in the VLE. The Classic seat design is available for the standard equipment and the AMG Line, while the Excellence seat design is available for the AMG Line with the AMG Line Sports Seat Package and EXCLUSIVE.

        Topstitching in the door armrests emphasises the high quality feel of the AMG Line interior. With EXCLUSIVE and the AMG Line Sports Seat Package, there is also topstitching on the beltline and the instrument panel.

        Important to know: the Excellence seat design features upholstery variants with perforated seat surfaces in conjunction with the ARTICO man-made leather and Nappa leather upholstery variants.

           Drive system layout At launch, the VLE 300 will be available with 203 kW (276 PS), 378 Nm, front-wheel drive and a 115-kWh battery. The range is over 700 km*. In just 15 minutes, you can recharge up to 355 km** of range.

          Further models will follow, differing in terms of performance and battery capacity. Vehicles with permanent four-wheel drive will also be available.

          All vehicles are fitted with an oil-cooled permanent-magnet synchronous motor at the front, which is also equipped with a park pawl. In vehicles with all-wheel drive, an electric motor is also fitted to the rear axle. To ensure maximum efficiency, it is engaged as required and connected to the rear axle via a disconnect clutch (Drive Control Unit, DCU).
          Suspension Even the standard comfort suspension impresses with its smooth ride characteristics and absorbs bumps and road irregularities with ease. The optional AIRMATIC air suspension also impresses with a constant vehicle level – regardless of the load – and its ability to adapt to the driving situation.
          Digital Extras Smart digital functions.

          With the Digital Extras from Mercedes-Benz, you can utilise the full potential of your VLE – now and in the future. You can already use the smart MBUX Virtual Assistant for 2 years as standard. The Remote Variable Rear Space is available in conjunction with electrically adjustable rear seats. You also have the option of tailoring your VLE to your current wishes and needs at any time and booking Digital Extras at a later date – even for one month, if required. You can already use some of the Digital Extras as standard for a certain period in your VLE and renew them in the Mercedes-Benz Store after the term has expired. But you can also book completely new equipment items and functions at any time.
          Burmester® 3D surround sound system Optimized sound for every seat row: The optional Burmester® 3D surround sound system with 22 speakers, 750 watts system power, and Dolby Atmos® will impress you. The individually controlled speakers and a powerful DSP amplifier pamper you with a perfectly tuned-to-the-interior-space sound experience. So, you enjoy a finely adjustable 3D surround sound with unparalleled depth – and feel like you’re in the auditorium of an opera house or a jazz club.
